Guests are not just customers here; they are participants in an ongoing craft. With activities like cocktail tasting flights and opportunities to provide feedback, every visit feels uniquely engaging—a sentiment echoed by Kristina Kallio, who was drawn back for what she describes as wonderfully flavored drinks at reasonable prices.
The experience is not just about the drinks; it's also about the people and the passion behind the bar. Jeff Rogers, a knowledgeable and friendly manager, exemplifies the customer-first mentality. Patrons repeatedly express how valued they feel, contributing to the bar’s warm community atmosphere. As Brad Mennicke notes, "the ambiance is great, and the cocktails are balanced and inventive," a perfect mix that makes Dashfire's a must-visit.

Super sexy spot. Sat at the bar for 2 hours on opening night. Service was great, cocktails were delicious, and the decor is beautifully done Mid-Century Modern within an industrial warehouse. Will definitely be back. The Old Fashioned was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. It’s amazing to know they distill all of their spirits on premise. Can’t wait to go back, bring friends, and try more of their cocktails.

An absolutely fabulous cocktail lounge, and fun experience! Our cocktails were absolutely delightful and the bartenders were so friendly and had divine suggestions. Do NOT sleep on this place!

I really enjoyed the Elusive Dashfire cocktail room. The ambiance is great, and the cocktails are balanced and inventive. Looking forward to going back and trying new things! I also love their canned cocktails, the old fashioned is legit pour from the can ready to drink.

This cocktail room is a great addition to Northeast Minneapolis. The smaller bar pumps out beautiful drinks quickly with tons of spaces for people and groups to sit. I loved all the unique spirits they make here. It's definitely a must visit when you're in the area!

Cozy cocktail lounge with an MCM feel and delicious cocktails. Rubbin Elbows was my favorite. They distill their own liquor, can premix cocktails, bottle multi variety of bitters. Super casual spot with really friendly bar staff. The awesome kicker, their hand pies are a clutch little snack in between cocktails. Follow the purple light.

My New favorite place! I recently stumbled upon this place after visiting two other local bars! This place is totally up my alley and I came right back the following weekend. I love the flavors of the drinks. My ultimate favorite flavor is banana and they have a drink called the whole banana. All the drinks have a wonderful palette of flavors! Our second time going we invited friends to join us and they were impressed also. They also mentioned the prices of drinks. Most are 11 or 13 I call this a great price! I’m often paying 15 or so for a drink! Elusive also has bitters, drinks, and other things available for purchase just not the drinking glasses. I tried and got denied! Jeff the manager is amazing! He has been friendly, and a very good worker and you can tell he really loves/values his customers. I highly suggest the lavender rhubarb hand pie. It is divine and one of a kind! The vibe inside is so nice too. Dimmed lighting which creates a mellow vibe. The interior design and decorations create a modern feel. I had to ask about the gold dish placements on the tables (that we had fun balancing things on) and what they are for. The intent was to put nuts in them, which I kinda figured. They decided against that to protect the people with nut allergies, which again you can tell the customers are at the core of their hearts. They do something a little different here that I haven't seen at any other bar establishment. When your order is complete they yell out your name for you to come to pick it up at the bar. Thank you, Jeff and all staff who attend to me and make it such a wonderful experience.

I love this place! Chill vibe with unique and impressive drinks. I enjoyed participating in the experiment, so my input matters. The bartenders are on point. I asked them for recommendations and to surprise me with something berry, and they did not disappoint!

We arrived early on a Saturday evening to try the cocktails at the new Dashfire tasting room. You may already be familiar with the Dashfire bitters, which have been available at area liqueur stores for quite a while. They have expanded into spirits, to include two gins, a sage-infused gin, and a number of flavors of liqueurs. We, of course, sat at the bar. After a discussion with Jeff Rogers, former beverage manager for Jester Concepts, now Brand Ambassador and cocktail room manager, I opted for their Spanish gin and tonic... pomegranates arils and not at all sweet Q tonic made for a lovely drink way better than the usual version of this cocktail. My husband was told that the Rhubbin' Elbows was great, so he ordered it. It was an interesting cocktail using bourbon orange liqueur, an alcohol-free vermouth, and the nice touch of a scorched orange peel. He thought it had a good flavor but was a bit sweet for his taste. He next opted for their cocktail of the week, which was quite good. Jeff is super knowledgeable, and we had a great conversation with him and owner Lee Egbert. I really like gin, and so got the gin flight plus a survey for me to give them my opinion about them. I LOVED having this opportunity. I really loved the sage infusion gin...very smooth. I found their dry gin very 'hot', that is alcohol forward. Their house gin was more balanced, at least for my palate. The women next to me were drinking old fashioned cocktails and also rating them! So have a nice cocktail, participate in 'market research, and have fun all at the same time. Elusive is a bit hard to find. Google maps sends you to Dock 12, but you really need to enter through Dock 10 and walk the very long corridor to the tasting room. Otherwise you can enter through the Tattersall door and then immediately leave at the back right, walk down the hall, turn left and walk until you see the sign...... It is in the Thorp Building, and the address is 1620 Central Avenue NE in Minneapolis. I should also add that they are selling a lot of canned cocktails, presumably at liqueur stores... interesting business model. Have fun! It is a drinking adventure.
